The Koshi River is a new freshwater basin of focus for The Coca-Cola Company and WWF global partnership. In these early stages of the 2013-2020 partnership phase the majority of work has focused on strategic planning. However, the team has been able to conduct baseline and vulnerability assessments in two catchments of the Indrawati sub-basin: Cha Khola and Dhand Khola. And, partners have conserved five spring sources, benefitting 125 local people through water conservation, renewable energy and improved agriculture practices. By the end of 2014, teams aim to have set conservation targets and identify indicators. Progress updates will be posted once results are realized.
